Insect Glaive in Monster Hunter Rise
Insect Glaive is still the best weapon on mobility. Monster Hunter Rise also enhances this by allowing you to dance around more freely with the Wirebug.

Insect Glaive Control

Generally, there is not much change to Insect Glaive control compare to previous Monster Hunter titles. Your first priority when playing Insect Glaive is gathering all the buff using your Insect.
After gathering the red buff, your attack animation will changed, turning your Jumping Advancing Slash into the infamous Helicopter attack.

Despite having a cool animation and multi hit attacks, it is not the best DPS move for Insect Glaive.
Insect Glaive Silkbind Attacks

- Silkbind Vault – Use the Wirebug to quickly vault into the air. This is similar to ZR+B with an extended range. You can also perform Jumping Slash (X), Jumping Advancing Slash (A) or Evade (B)
- Recall Kinsect – This Silkbind attack lets you recover the Kinsect with an evasive maneuver. Kinsect’s stamina also recovers.
Differ with most of the weapons in Monster Hunter Rise, Insect Glaive’s Silkbind Attacks focuses more on Mobility than offensive.

Insect Glaive Combo
In Monster Hunter Rise, Insect Glaive got a boost on mobility rather than damage. With that in mind, your best combo for Insect Glaive are still the end less combo X > A > A > X > A > A (Repeat) This deals a ton of damage and is still a better option compare to the Helicopter mode.
